Tectonic VULCAN PEKK-A filament in 2.85mm and 500g is an amorphous polyetherketoneketone engineered for parts that must survive heat, chemicals, and fire exposure. It carries UL V0 flame retardancy at 0.8mm and meets rail and aerospace flammability standards, making it a strong choice for transportation, industrial, and high performance functional parts on the UltiMaker Factor 4.
Tectonic VULCAN PEKK-A filament is a high performance amorphous polyetherketoneketone designed for engineers who need parts that hold up under heat, chemical exposure, and strict fire safety requirements. This 2.85mm filament combines flame retardant certification with dependable thermal resistance, so it fits demanding industrial, transportation, and aerospace projects where standard polymers fall short.
Because VULCAN PEKK-A is an amorphous polymer, it prints with more predictable dimensional behavior than semi crystalline high temperature materials. As a result, engineers gain a workable path to functional PEKK parts on the UltiMaker Factor 4, and they can move from prototype to end use component with confidence using validated Cura Marketplace print profiles.
Thanks to its flame retardant rating and thermal stability, VULCAN PEKK-A suits parts that face heat and fire safety rules. Common uses include rail and transit components, aircraft interior parts, industrial brackets, and functional prototypes that must match production grade performance.

For best results, dry the filament at 120°C for 4 to 8 hours before printing. Set the nozzle temperature near 380°C, the bed near 160°C, and the chamber near 150°C, then adjust within the recommended ranges for your printer. A textured PEI sheet, glass, or carbon fiber plate works well, and Magigoo HT helps promote adhesion. Use a nozzle of 0.4mm or larger and start printing around 30 mm/s. Validated print profiles for the UltiMaker Factor 4 are available through the Cura Marketplace, which reduces calibration effort.
