Tectonic ZEPHYR PA11 CF MC filament is an ultra lightweight carbon fiber reinforced PA11 built with Microcell foaming technology, which brings density down to 0.85 g/cm3 and removes up to 30% of part weight without giving up stiffness. It holds dimensions well, shrugs off moisture and chemicals, and prints in ambient conditions. Available in 1.75mm and 2.85mm on 0.5kg spools in black.
Tectonic ZEPHYR PA11 CF filament is an ultra lightweight carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 11. It is built with Microcell foaming technology. That foaming brings density down to 0.85 g/cm3 and removes up to 30% of part weight. Stiffness still holds, with tensile modulus at 5200 MPa on edge. So you get stiff functional parts without carrying the mass. Paragon stocks it in 1.75mm and 2.85mm on 0.5kg spools in black.
Polyamide 11 also takes on very little moisture. Because of that, ZEPHYR keeps its dimensions through long prints and in humid shop conditions. It resists acids, bases, and salts better than most engineering nylons. That puts it alongside the other high performance 3D printing materials we stock. And it prints in ambient conditions, so a heated chamber helps but is not required. The polymer itself is 97% bio based from European sourced castor oil, with over 15% recycled content. That is worth noting on education, municipal, and government projects carrying sustainability language in the specs.
Wherever a part needs to be light first and stiff second, Tectonic ZEPHYR PA11 CF is a strong fit. Drone builders gain flight time and payload margin from every gram removed. The same logic carries over to robotics, motion systems, and fast moving assemblies.

| Compatible Printer Series | 2.85mm for UltiMaker S Series and Factor Series, 1.75mm for printers accepting a hardened 0.6mm or larger nozzle |
Dry the filament at 100°C for 6 to 8 hours before printing. Set the nozzle near 260°C, within a 250°C to 275°C range. Set the bed near 100°C, within an 80°C to 110°C range. If your printer has a heated chamber, 60°C is a good starting point. But ZEPHYR also prints in ambient conditions, so an unheated chamber is workable. A textured PEI sheet, glass, or carbon fiber plate all work well. Magigoo PA helps promote adhesion.
Because this is a carbon fiber composite, use a hardened steel nozzle of 0.6mm or larger. Print around 30 mm/s, within a 30 to 60 mm/s range. On UltiMaker S series and Factor series printers, the 2.85mm spool runs with a CC or CC+ print core. Current Tectonic profiles can be pulled from the Cura Marketplace. Store spools below 40°C in a sealed container. Also run the printer enclosed with good ventilation, since carbon fiber composites can release fine particles. Tectonic documented the drone weight savings behind this grade in their Microcell drone design case study. Our own guide to Tectonic 3D materials walks through where each grade fits on an UltiMaker.
