Description

Tectonic KRATIR PET CF Filament (2.85mm)

Tectonic KRATIR PET CF filament is a carbon fiber reinforced polyethylene terephthalate engineered for high stiffness, strong mechanical performance, and better heat resistance than standard PET. This 2.85mm filament holds dimensions well and resists wear, so it fits functional parts, tooling, and components that face heat and repeated use.

Because KRATIR PET CF combines a stiff carbon fiber reinforced matrix with low creep, it delivers dependable dimensional stability across long prints and demanding parts. As a result, users produce durable engineering grade components on the UltiMaker S series and Factor 4, and they rely on validated Cura Marketplace print profiles to reduce setup time.

Key Features

  • High tensile modulus up to 9600 MPa for stiff, strong parts
  • Better heat resistance with a 250°C melting temperature
  • Excellent dimensional stability with low creep
  • Wear resistant surface for tooling and functional parts
  • Available in 750g, 1000g, and 2000g spools

Applications

Thanks to its stiffness, heat resistance, and dimensional stability, KRATIR PET CF suits parts that must hold tight tolerances under load and temperature. Common uses include jigs and fixtures, functional brackets, tooling, and durable end use components.

  • Jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing tooling
  • Functional brackets and load bearing parts
  • Heat exposed components up to moderate temperatures
  • Durable functional prototypes and end use parts

Printing Guidelines and Additional Information

For best results, dry the filament at 80°C for 8 to 12 hours before printing. Set the nozzle temperature near 275°C, the bed near 100°C, and the chamber near 80°C, then adjust within the recommended ranges for your printer. A textured PEI sheet, glass, or carbon fiber plate works well, and Magigoo HT helps promote adhesion. Because this is a carbon fiber composite, use a hardened steel nozzle of 0.6mm or larger and print around 80 mm/s for reliable output. Validated print profiles for the UltiMaker S series and Factor 4 are available through the Cura Marketplace, which reduces calibration effort.
