KODAK Water-Resistant Scrim Banner

Water resistant banner media is a must when you need banners that can handle handling, installation, and everyday wear without sacrificing print quality. KODAK Water-Resistant Scrim Banner is a scrim-reinforced vinyl designed to create spectacular, high impact, cost-effective graphics that stand up to real-world use. The surface is both scratch and water resistant, and Kodak highlights a high white point that helps printed graphics look cleaner and more vibrant on a banner substrate.

This banner material is built for production efficiency. The durable scrim reinforcement improves tear resistance and helps the media hold up during finishing, transport, and installation. Kodak also notes that the media provides easier handling, helping print shops compete for high-volume banner jobs with a balance of economy and quality. If you are producing banners for promotions, events, and retail messaging, this water resistant banner material supports bold color fidelity and dependable performance.

KODAK Water-Resistant Scrim Banner is compatible with both thermal and piezo inkjet printing technologies using water-based dye and pigment inks, making it a practical option for a wide range of inkjet systems. When additional protection is needed, pressure sensitive vinyl laminates with UV inhibitors can be applied to increase fade and abrasion resistance. For best results before laminating, allow prints to dry for 24 hours.

Kodak Print Media for Photo & Display Graphics

Kodak print media is trusted by photographers, print providers, and in-house graphics teams that need rich color and consistent results. Instead of flat, washed-out images, Kodak materials are engineered to deliver deep blacks, vivid tones, and smooth gradients. As a result, your posters, photo prints, and display graphics stand out the way you intended. The Kodak wide format range includes photo papers, canvases, backlit films, poly posters, and specialty materials. Many products are designed for aqueous, solvent, latex, and UV inkjet printers, so they slide into existing workflows without drama. In everyday use, that means you can keep your preferred printer brand and still step up to Kodak image quality. At Paragon Visual, we focus on Kodak media that fits real-world production. We highlight professional photo papers for lab-quality output, repositionable fabric for wall graphics, fine art papers and canvas for décor, and durable films for illuminated displays. Our goal is to help you choose Kodak options that match your printer, your ink set, and the way you run your shop.

Why Choose Kodak Print Media from Paragon Visual?

  • Recognized image quality: Kodak media is tuned for vivid color, neutral grays, and smooth tonal transitions. This helps your work look professional on the first print instead of the third.
  • Wide application range: You can use Kodak print media for retail posters, photo enlargements, wall murals, and backlit graphics. One brand can cover many of your most common jobs.
  • Compatibility with major printers: Many Kodak products run well on popular wide format printers from HP, Canon, and Epson. That makes it easier to standardize on media across different devices.
  • Guidance from Paragon Visual: Our team can suggest Kodak options based on your printer type, ink technology, and environment. This reduces trial-and-error and saves time in production.

Software Setting

When using this material with Encad GO inks, utilize the UCR (Under Color Removal) technique that replaces composite black (CMY) with the appropriate amount of black ink. To optimize print quality, printers should be set for the highest print quality and media selection should be set on “heavy coated.” Ink coverage up to 250% is recommended.
Color Matching For the best and most consistent results, a profile should be created using an external color calibrator in con- junction with your RIP and color matching software.

Lightfastness

The fading time of inkjet ink is a direct result of the inks that you choose to use and the environment where the print is displayed. All dye-based inks fade noticeably under direct sunlight, in interior applications where direct sunlight may fall on an image, and/or where fluorescent or other UV lighting is present. Although the fading process is inherent with all inkjet inks, certain UV enhanced inks, pigment-based inks, and UV inhibiting laminates will extend the longevity of an image. Contact the ink manufacturer to determine suitability for a particular application.

Finishing/Post Processing

Pressure sensitive vinyl laminates with UV inhibitors can be applied to increase the fade and abrasion resis- tance of the image. Polyester or other base material laminates are not recommended. Before applying the laminate, allow the image to dry for 24 hours.
